Advantage Partners With Texas to Curb Litter

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Advantage Rent-A-Car is partnering with the Texas Department of Transportation to offer a $5,000 scholarship program that rewards high school seniors for their efforts to reduce litter.

The scholarship is open to all public and private high school seniors in Texas. Applications for the scholarship are available at www.dontmesswithtexas.org.

"With our home operation in Texas, we take very seriously the commitment to proactively protect the environment of this state," said Mark E. Walker, Advantage's vice president of marketing and technology. "This scholarship is not only intended to acknowledge the efforts of the young citizens of Texas, but to promote a public awareness throughout every community in Texas."

Advantage has a history of partnering with the state of Texas. The company just entered its 14th consecutive year as one of the contract car rental providers to the state's travel management program for state employees.
