Expedia, Hertz Expand Relationship

February 22, 2005

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Expedia and the Hertz Corp. announced they have expanded their relationship, giving Expedia.com and Expedia Corporate Travel customers guaranteed best published rates on Hertz car rentals.

The agreement lets Hertz market its fleet to the more than 20 million travelers shopping monthly on Expedia.com.

As part of the agreement, Hertz will continue to participate in Expedia's "dynamic packages," which let travelers book customized trips combining flights, hotels, activities and car rentals.

These packages let Hertz market its inventory under a partner-friendly, opaque pricing model. In addition, Hertz plans to advertise and promote special offers to Expedia's customers.

"This expanded agreement is evidence of the continued value Hertz receives from having a strong working relationship with Expedia," said Frank Camacho, staff vice president of marketing for Hertz.
