NORWALK, Conn. -- Priceline.com has promoted Christopher L. Soder to executive vice president of travel services. In his new position, Soder will oversee all of Priceline.com's U.S. opaque and retail travel products for rental cars, airline tickets, hotel rooms, travel packages, cruises and destination activities.

Soder was previously vice president of lodging and vacation products for Priceline.com.

In other company news, Priceline launched a new promotion that offers consumers a $10 gas credit when they book a name-your-own-price rental of a minivan, SUV or premium-size car for three days or longer.

To qualify for the credit, rentals must be purchased by March 13 and picked up by May 15 of this year. The offer applies to rentals in the U.S. and Canada.
