The Credit Chip is a small device installed in-line with a rented, leased or financed vehicle's starter circuitry.
Credit Chip allows the credit grantor to disable starting of the vehicle if the
customer's account is seriously in default.
Addressing and disabling a vehicle is as simple as logging onto our secure
website, entering a username and password, selecting the customer account, and
then clicking on Disable. In respect of Right to cure laws, an audible warning
may also be enabled to advise the customer of the impending shut-down, giving
them a 1, 2 or 3-day grace period.
In contrast to the very few other comparable devices, the Credit Chip device
also communicates wirelessly with other C-Chip Technologies security cut-off
modules, which are all wireless and easily hidden. Thus if an unscrupulous
customer decides to remove the Credit Chip, the remaining hidden cut-off
device(s) will render the vehicle unusable! One remote cut-off is included with
each Credit Chip.
The competitor's devices require the end-user to actually enter a code from a
keypad also installed within the vehicle, which was obtained by actually
calling the credit grantor, every single month! This is both costly for the
creditor, and inconvenient for the end-user.
